Thanks for all the @replies folks! I’m glad you’re starting to (or already enjoying) twittering your poker. And when I say that, I mean all kinds of poker. I’m in Vegas right now surrounded by poker media covering the World Series of Poker - so that’s where are focus will be for the next six weeks, but that doesn’t mean it’s all we want to hear about.
Twitter your home games. Heck, the reason I got into poker in the first places was because of the laugh out loud tales of the Tiltboys. They totally need to twitter their home games. So, bring it. Twitter your home games, twitter your online play. Twitter your cash games at random casinos all over the world (See The Poker Atlas) . I’ll be focused on the WSOP but I have plans to build out section for home games and online poker. First, we need people tweeting those topics, so don’t hold back. It doesn’t matter if you’re twittering at 2am.
More soon, start twittering.

See those photos of Howard Lederer, David Williams and Erick Lindgren on the left nav bar? Those were added through twitpic.
Take pics with your phone and send them to your twitter followers - or take pics with a camera and upload them from your website.
Tip: Need to resize and edit photos but don’t have Photoshop? I use Snipshot.

Ok friends, poker bloggers and poker players - lets get this blog in action! I’m Jen Leo, (and @jenleo) - and I want you to twitter your poker. There are all sorts of poker writers who have already caught on to this fun and powerful social media application: @taopauly, @change100, @bjnemeth, @WHP, and we want you to be next.
Just think - you come out to the World Series of Poker but in the sea of thousands of poker players, your chip counts don’t get listed because you’re not Chris Ferguson. Well, that doesn’t mean your mom, dad, and your homegame back in Kansas don’t want to follow your play. Here’s your chance - twitter!
Sign up for a free account, have them follow you, and start sending out your chip counts and interesting messages to the masses right from your phone. Of course there are rules to keep you from doing this at the tournament table - but do it on a break, when you’re in the bathroom, any other time at all. Here’s how.
I want Twitter Your Poker to be a lively poker community. I will be recapping great poker tweets that I find in the twittersphere, and occasionally pointing to great blog posts too. This site is just getting started so hold tight while I look for new apps that can make this website more interactive and user friendly for voyeurs wanting to see what other people are twittering.
Message me @yourpoker if you’ve signed up and will be twittering your poker at the 2008 WSOP.
Most of all - have fun!

I love that twitter has caught on in the poker world this year. It was my dream for last year, but this year is not too late and I’m hoping that we can get even more poker players involved in sharing their chip counts, giving us the scoop from inside the ropes and talking to their fans back home about their play. Twitter is a great opportunity for your “average Joe” players to get “covered”.
Twittersphere Highlights: Day 1, WSOP Championship $10,000 PLHE Event It’s great news that veteran poker bloggers and poker media @taopauly, @change100 and @bjnemeth are twittering this year. Their Day 1 tweets included bust outs from the PLHE event, talk about being back on the frontlines of the WSOP, and as a nod to Tao of Poker fans—tweets on which pros Pauly was peeing next to, whether or not there were any hookers at the hooker bar and the infamous Tilted Kilt was replaced by McFaddens.
Blogosphere Highlights: Day 1, WSOP Championship $10,000 PLHE Event So, who’s talking about the WSOP in the blogsphere? My favorites Wicked Chops Poker are blogging, “2008 WSOP: Edwin James Olmos Eli Elezra, Nenad Medic, Patrik Antonius Lead Event #1“; The husband gives us a laugh about the hallway on Poker News; Pauly is back writing in fully for Tao of Poker; Spaceman is living at the Rio…and well get to more bloggers in the coming days. Follow @yourpoker so I know what you’re up to at the Rio and can brag about you. taopauli change 100 2008 World Series of Poker

In addition to twittering during the World Series of Poker, I’ll be writing blog posts on this site to give you highlights of great tweets and blog posts in the twittersphere and poker blogosphere.
First thing first - you have to read this great post from @change100 about working the World Series of Poker. I think it speaks for all of us who have ever been on the poker media side of the WSOP. Read: Desert Calling.
BTW - This is Jen Leo (@jenleo) Now, get your ass to Vegas and Twitter YOUR poker.

Twitter is a FREE micro-blogging service that has become a popular social networking/broadcasting tool.
It hosts your messages (up to 140 characters) and sends them out to all your friends or “followers”.
Send out your messages or “tweets” by text message from your phone, or from your computer. Your followers can receive your messages by SMS, RSS or email.
What if you just want to send your chip counts to one person? No problem. You can send direct messages via Twitter.
Why Twitter your poker?
To tell your friends and family exactly what’s going on with your play as it’s happening. Remember when Daniel used his blackberry to tell his assistant what to put up on his blog during his big heads up games in 2005? Not everyone has an assistant. This cuts out the need for a middle man.
Provide instantaneous chip counts and commentary – in short form.
To broadcast the same message to multiple friends in one simple effort – they can get your thoughts or “notifications” delivered straight to their phone via text message.
